Governing Body
Meet the Governing Body:
Phil Borkett, Chair of Governors I joined the governing body when actively involved in the local community as minister of a nearby church. Since retiring in 2020 I've had a bit more time to support various community initiatives in Sheffield but also, (when allowed) to enjoy getting out into the Peak District. I am chair of the Full Governing Body and Teaching and Learning Committee and am enthusiastic about governors and staff colleagues working together to give our children the best possible school experience at Norfolk Park.

Dr Jill LeBihan, Vice Chair of Governors
In my professional life I am Head of Student Engagement at Sheffield Hallam University, with a strong interest in positive student experience. My academic background is in English Literature and Language, so I understand the importance of literacy and communication in education, but I also believe in reading for pleasure, and am committed to ensuring children have opportunities to explore the arts, music and broad creative expression. I work closely with the digital learning team at Sheffield Hallam and understand the possibilities this offers for education, but I am also fully aware of the risks to children and aim to support the school where I can in keeping the pupils safe. Matt Cam, Head Teacher
I have 22 years of teaching experience which has included teaching abroad, in mainstream schools and in different SEND schools.
It was a privilege to join Norfolk Park school five years ago when the school moved to its current location. It has been a pleasure to see the school develop and grow over this time.
In my time outside school I have a young family and also enjoy different sports and hobbies such as squash, walking and mountain biking.
I have been on the Teaching, Learning and Community committee and the Resources and Premises committee since 1/1/19

Lindsay Newbould, Staff Governor
I have been teaching at Norfolk Park School for about 7 years. I lead on RE and Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural (SMSC) development within school. I ensure we reflect learning around a variety of different faiths, traditions and festivals and find a multi-sensory approach works well. I have been involved in developments in school around the new curriculum, engagement, music and assemblies. Music should be so prominent in school as it is inclusive and accessible and brings out so much joy in the children. Outside of school my own passion is music: I play the cornet and am a member of the Chapeltown Brass Band. I also play in school sometimes and I also sing for weddings, parties and just for my own pleasure.
